Afe Babalola commends outgoing Odu’a GMD

Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUA), Aare Afe Babalola, (SAN) on Wednesday lauded the achievements of the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Odu’a Investment Company Limited for two terms tenure of office, Mr Adewale Raji.

Receiving the outgoing and incoming GMD of the company during a working visit to Afe Babalola University in Ado Ekiti,
Aare Afe Babalola hailed Mr. Raji’s doggedness and forthrightness in shaping the company’s new board governance structure which has helped in ensuring continuity and stability of its businesses.

While aligning with the eight sectors of Real Estate, Hospitality, Financial Services, Agriculture, Energy/ Power, ICT/Digital, Healthcare/ Pharmaceuticals and Logistics/e-Commerce, the founder of ABUAD University charged the incoming GMD to ensure continued contact with Mr Raji even after retirement and make Odu’a presence become more visible in all the South western states of Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti and Lagos.

The legal luminary furthed admonished that Odu’a should be a big player in the Agriculture, Industry and Education sectors which were the main cardinal focus areas of the founding fathers of Odu’a Investment Company Limited.

Speaking, Mr Raji thanked Aare for being a pillar of support in his 10 years journey including advisory services from his law firm that has helped in laying solid foundation for future exponential growth under the leadership of Mr Abdulrahman Yinusa as the GMD

In his remarks, Mr. Yinusa said his priority upon taking up the mantle of leadership will be to build on what he met on ground.

“We look forward to an organisation supporting government in different forms and doing things in business way”, he said.

The Odu’a team were on a facility tour of the multi system hospital complex, industrial park, ABUAD farm and the gas powered Independent Power Project of the university.
