Abuja: Kingibe to host youth/cultural summit

Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Abuja, Senator Ireti Heebah Kingibe, will be the host at a two day “Youth Cultural Summit” in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

According to statement by the organiser(s), Happy Joe Isitua, the event tagged: “Nigeria schools/Youth Cultural Summit and Creativity, Expo 2023”, is slated to take place on November 29th and 30th at the Old Parade Ground, Garki Abuja, starting from 10.00 am.

Joe Isitua added that the activities mapped up for the event include: fashion parade, drama on good leadership, peace and unity in Nigerian politics. 

“He said thirty seven (37) white birds (doves) representing the thirty six (36) states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja would be released by Nigerian children as a symbol of love, peace and unity of Nigeria.

He said the event was aimed at educating Nigerian youths, particularly, those resident in Abuja on the need to imbibe the culture of peace, unity, and improve their skill acquisition, cherished values, as well as abstinence from social vices. 

“This momentous event will commemorate Abuja FCT at 47, which it was officially became Nigeria’s capital on December 12, 1991 and this will offer an massive experience showcasing the vibrant traditions and culture of Nigerians.”

The dignitaries expected at the event include the first lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu who will be honoured as the Grand Mother of peace and Unity, while FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike will witness the event among others.
