Report from Kogi state indicates that an explosion has occurred and killed three persons in Okene, on a day President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to visit.
During the visit, President Buhari is meant to commission projects executed by Governor Yahaya Bello in parts of the state.
The incident occured on Thursday morning according to Channels Television, at the Oyinoyi’s Palace in Okene Local Government Area, North-central district, where the incumbent governor hails from.
Blueprint could not immediately establish the cause of the explosion.
However, security operatives have arrived the scene.
The state government was yet to make any comment on the latest development as at the time of filling this report.
