On Rep Lawal’s wells projects

The recent wells projects executed by Honorable Umar Muda Lawal member (Toro, Bauchi state), House of Representatives, generated uproar with a number of people saying the act is ungoldly.

The development was unexpected recalling his campaign promises. Muda promised to provide the people potable clean water, empower youths, scholarship award, building of bridges, renovation of some dilapidated schools, among others.

Based on what we are seeing on social media as it’s being posted by his social media aides, we can say that you are doing pretty well; the numerous projects featured on various photographs claimed to be executed by you are doctored ranging from the solar boreholes, school furniture, donated bus, palliatives, fertilizers for farmers, empowerment programs, among others. But in reality we are seeing anything.

The point is, the projects are mere photos, then there is no contention about the rumours that you are just there to divert people’s belonging for your personal again.

The rumour is that Umar spent huge money during campaign and therefore he must recover all he spent including profit before attending to people’s needs and that will take him four years. Therefore, digging of wells is proof that you don’t want to spend public wealth on their demands.

Muda, you got massive support from people being the first youth contesting the position in the entire constituency and that made many people to think you aren’t corrupt. Toro people have high hopes in you and that’s why we gave you a chance to represent us.

Note that we address you “Buharin Toro”, unfortunately, things are falling apart now. Of the nearly three years of power, no town in Toro has benefitted from your representation apart from the wells projects executed recently.

It sound very awkward and rare that you provided your people with ordinary wells as a means of supplying water, this shows your inability to fulfill your campaign promises, in fact, is a dirty slap to your face digging wells for those who voted you.

It’s high time you woke up from the deep slumber and bring about the much-desired development for the betterment of your people and avoid sentiment.
