5,700 students applied for Kogi bursary award in 2 days – Board chair  

 

Over 5,700 students of Kogi state origin have registered within two days for the ongoing scholarship and bursary award of the state government.
The executive chairman,  Kogi State Scholarship Board,  Afolabi Joseph-Raji , stated  this in Lokoja, Monday while unveiling  portal for registration .

The board said  the programme is meant for indigene of Kogi state studying at various tertiary institutions across the country.

He urged, students to log into www.scholarshipboard.kogistate.gov.ng even with their smart phones to  register for the scholarship ward.

The executive chairman  assured that the exercise will be transparent, adding that registration will close on 30th  April, 2024.

In his remarks, the  state Commissioner for Education, Wemi Jonesm, said the reintroduction of the bursary award is to support students in achieving their dreams in academics.

While urging the students of Kogi origin to take the advantage of the nursery award to assist themselves and their parents, the commissioner   noted that the scholarship is part of the ten years Kogi State Strategic plan to take education to another level.
