2023: Kogi women, PWDs endorse Eshanumi for senate

Women and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Kogi West senatorial district have endorsed the only female senatorial aspirant in the zone, Mrs. Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi, as preferred candidate to represent them at the Senate in the 2023 general elections.

The women, who are mostly widows from Yagba Federal Constituency, also appealed to Governor Yahaya Bello to endorse the candidacy of Eshanumi to clinch the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Senate at the primary election.

Eshanumi, a successful business woman, is the founder of an NGO, ”Doyin and Susan Foundation,” with vision to reaching out to the vulnerable, especially children, women and widows in order to alleviate their suffering.

In their separate comments at the endorsement rally in Isanlu, Wednesday, the women commended Eshanumi for her philanthropic gesture towards the vulnerable women and children over the past years.

A women leader in Itedo-Makutu, Isanlu, Mrs Mary Adeoye, said the entire women in the area are solidly behind Eshanumi to ensure she realises her political ambition.
”All the men who had been representing us have failed us. Doyin Eshanumi will do well and make us happy. She is the husband of the widows.

”We are begging our governor, Yahaya Bello, to give her the APC ticket for senate, and we will all vote for her,” Adeoye said.
Responding, Eshanumi thanked the women for their support and endorsement, assuring them of her commitment to continue to empower and make them happy.

”I assure you that I will not let you down. By God’s grace, when I get to senate, I will do more for you and the entire Kogi west,” Eshanumi said.
