2023: Aisha Buhari moves to save Adamawa APC  

Concerned by the internal wrangling rocking Adamawa state, chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC), ahead of 2023 general elections,  Nigeria’s first lady, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has held a fence mending meeting with party candidates and stakeholder’s in the state.

The meeting which was held behind closed door was attended by party candidates at all levels and other critical party stakeholders. Issues bordering on party unity and the need to go into 2023 elections united were discussed.

Shedding light on what transpired at the meeting in a press statement signed by the acting state chairman, Ismaila Tadawus and the state secretary, Dr Raymond Chidama,  the party said the meeting was attended by most party candidates and stakeholders at all levels.

The statement further urged  party members to remain calm as everything is being done to re-position the party and salvage the state from the leadership failure of the present PDP- led administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The statement  said efforts are being made to reach out to all stakeholders and party leaders to achieve total reconciliation within the party.

The party further stated that the leadership also used the opportunity to explain their vision to the first lady and how she can support the vision and the party to take over the state.

The first lady assured them of her commitment to support the party in whatever way possible.

The party leaders congratulated the first lady on  her appointment as the chairperson of Tinubu/Shettima women campaign team.
