No fewer than 17 people have been reportedly killed in accident involving two trailers in Bida area of Niger state.
The accident was said to have occurred weekend at Edozhigi junction, few kilometers from Bida town.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Musa Mohammed, confirmed the incident in Minna.
He said the accident was caused by the trailers’ overspeeding, adding that “one of the trailers was coming from Lagos.”
He advised motorists to be more careful and avoid overspending on the road.
A similar accident occurred last year on the same spot during which 52 people lost their lives.
