In the spirit of Ramadan fast, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, of Borno state has approved the release of three hundred and sixty four million, six hundred and forty thousand naira (N364,640,000) to be disbursed to 4,558 CJTF, vigilantes and hunters registered in all the 27 LGAs of the state.
The governor also directed for the distribution of four thousand, five hundred fifty eight bags of to be shared to the 4,558 members of the voluntary security groups in all the 27 LGCs of the state.
The Borno state overall chairman of the CJTF, Ba’Lawan Ja’afar, stated this while briefing newsmen in Maiduguri Wednesday.
While giving the breakdown, Balawan said: “The governor gave directive that 4,040 CJTF members are to be given) N30,000 each as their monthly allowance for the month of March while N50,000 and a bag of rice is for each member as Ramadan gesture. Same goes for the 518 vigilantes and hunters.
“His Excellency, Governor Zulum equally assured us that, additional 900 members of the CJTF and 100 hunters will soon benefit in the next phase of the food palliatives programme.
“And this is not the first time that our members and myself are benefitting from the governor’s large hearted benevolence, but this time around, it is very special for us.”
