Zimbabwe coach calls for support ahead Super Eagles clash

Zimbabwe head coach Baltemar Brito has urged supporters to rally behind the national team ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.

Brito believes the Warriors need the support of the nation to have a good start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

“Let’s unite and rally behind the national team. We are here to try to do our best, Everyone is here to do their best, so we expect the nation to give the best of support. We will try to create a good moment for them (fans),” the 71-year-old was quoted by the official website of the Zimbabwe Football Association.

The Warriors will take on Rwanda in a matchday one fixture at the Huye Stadium on Wednesday, November 15.

Brito side’s will then face the Super Eagles four days later at the same venue.

The Brazilian has already invited 28 players for the game against Rwanda and Nigeria.

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Likuena of Lesotho and Squirrels of Benin Republic are other other teams in the group.

The top team in the group will qualify for the 2026 World Cup which will be hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.
