Youth council commends Tinubu’s dedication to graft fight 



The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering dedication to combating corruption and his resolve to instil transparency and accountability in governance.

Secretary of the NYCN, Comrade Dotun Omoleye, who stated this at a world press conference on the state of the nation held in Lokoja, Sunday, said the current administration of President Tinubu could only succeed if he fights corruption to the barest minimum and entrenches transparency and accountability.

“We extend our admiration and support to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his unwavering dedication to combating corruption and resolve to instil transparency and accountability in governance.

“We express our gratitude to President Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing two young individuals with exceptional track records as youth ministers – an unprecedented milestone since the advent of democracy in 1999.

“We commend the exemplary leadership of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, led by Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim and Comrade Ayodele Olawande, for their multitude of youth programs and initiatives aimed at empowering and improving the lives of Nigeria’s young population.

“We are by this press conference wholeheartedly endorsing the “ONE YOUTH, TWO SKILLS” project initiated by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development with the specific intention of alleviating poverty and reducing unemployment.

“We implore all security agencies and stakeholders to intensify their efforts in ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians, particularly in the fight against banditry and kidnapping. It is our belief that every Nigerian deserves a secure and peaceful environment in which to thrive,” Omoleye said.

The youth leader commended the immediate past  Governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello for his accomplishments in youth development and advancement through investment in education and welfare of youths during his eight-year tenure as governor.
