Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state in consultation with heads of security, intelligence and law enforcement in the state, has placed restriction on vehicular movement across the state for the Eid El-Fitr prayers to mark the end of the Ramadan fast.
A statement made available by the Director-General Press Affairs, Abdullahi Bego, indicates that the restriction takes effect from 10.00pm on Monday to 10.30am on Tuesday 4th June, 2019.
In the event that the moon has not been sighted later on Monday, and the Ramadan fast will be observed on Tuesday, the restriction will go into effect from 10.00pm on Tuesday to 10.30am on Wednesday.
Governor Buni while wishing Muslims faithful happy Sallah, said the decision was to ensure a hitch-free and peaceful Eid prayers.
