We’ll seek higher opinion on OUK’s tribunal victory  – LP senatorial candidate

The Senatorial candidate of Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 Abia North senatorial district election, Hon Nnamdi Iro Orji has said the people of Abia North rejected the tribunal judgement which upheld the victory of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), promising to appeal the judgement.

The embattled LP senatorial candidate faulted the judgement of National Assembly Election Petition accusing the tribunal for turning blind eyes on what he considered facts germane to cancel the election and ordered for a rerun.

Oji told Blueprint in Umuahia that the judgement delivered by the  court fell short of expectations of his constituents who he said had  rejected the ruling in its entirety.

On his part, Pastor Dike Isaiah, supporter of Labour Party and Hon Nnamdi Iro Oji senatorial candidate of Labour Party berated the tribunal for upholding the victory of APC candidate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

He wondered why the tribunal did not grant their prayers by disqualifying Kalu who he said had served as ex – convict before, adding that even the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) agreed that election did not hold in LP candidate’s stronghold of Ohafia North and South federal constituency.

The commission had announced that election would hold in those places like Agborji, Amaeke and Abiriba in Ohafia North and some parts of Ohafia South.
