VON partners NCPC to project Nigeria’s image

The Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, has expressed the desire of the agency to partner with Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) to project the image of Nigeria abroad.
“We are willing to partner with you because every pilgrim is an ambassador of his country and there can no be a better platform to amplify that than VON,” he said.
The DG stated this Tuesday when he led management staff of VON on a courtesy call on the Executive Secretary of NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
He said as DG, he committed to amplifying Nigerian and African cultural diversities to the world and by extension enhance Nigerian foreign policy.
“Our duties and responsibilities because of the wisdom of our founding fathers looking at the special place of Nigeria on the continent of Africa and in the world places us as touch bearers who will consistently tell Nigerian and African stories,” he said

He reiterated the desire of VON to work with NCPC in all its activities in order to project Nigeria to the world.
“We are here to let you know that this is your platform. VON is for all Nigerians and indeed Africa. I know that you carry out so many exercises and at each point the advice given to pilgrims is to be good ambassadors of the country.
“I also know the efforts by NCPC to ensure that every pilgrim is of good conduct and returns to the country. I want to also request that in the partnership VON should be part of the pilgrims whenever you are going to Jerusalem. We have competent reporters who will give feedback to Nigerians and also project Nigeria to the world. “
