Sports journalist and a close friend of Victor Osimhen, Buchi Laba, has revealed that at least four clubs were ready to pay the striker’s hefty salary in January.
Osimhen is reportedly on 12 Million Euros-a-year.
Several top Transfer Experts have argued that only the big-spending clubs in Saudi Arabia could afford the striker’s salary.
However, Buchi Laba has revealed that at least four clubs were ready to pay this salary in January.
“In January 2025, two English clubs were willing to pay Osimhen’s salary, the same goes for a team in Spain and a team in Italy who were also willing to pay Osimhen’s salary,” he posted on X
He further argued that Napoli could afford such salary and so there should not be a question whether Europe’s top clubs cannot.
“If a club like Napoli has no problem paying Osimhen’s salary, why should the biggest clubs in Europe have a problem?” he asked.
“Every time I hear about Victor, they are obsessed with his salary, they denigrate him by saying he can only go and play in Saudi Arabia.
“But it’s a matter of time.”
