Two Catholic priests Rev. Fr. John Mark Cheitnum and Rev. Fr. Donatus Cleopas were kidnapped by terrorists in Lere local government area of Kaduna State on Friday.
This is coming barely 11 days after Rev Fr Emmanuel Silas was abducted at the rectory of St. Charles Catholic Church in Zambina, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State
The Chancellor, Catholic Diocese of Kafancha, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Uchechukwu Okolo, confirmed the incident in a statement made available to journalists.
He said the incident of their abduction occurred at about 5.45pm of July 15, 2022, shortly after the duo priests arrived for a function at Christ the king catholic Church, Yadin Garu in Lere Local government area of the state.
The Chancellor said, “With great pain that we announce to you the kidnapping of two of our Priests; Rev. Frs. John Mark Cheitnum and Donatus Cleopas.
