Supporters clubs entitled to statutory benefits – Emeruwa

Nigeria Football Federation presidential aspirant, Dr. Christian Emeruwa believes supporters club in the country are deserving of better treatment by the football governing body.

Dr Emeruwa said this on Wednesday in Lagos when he paid a visit to the Secretariat of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club, ANFASSC.

The Head of Safety and Security of Confederation of African Football CAF, was received by the National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi alongside other members.

The NFF Presidential aspirant noted that it was pertinent to meet with stakeholders and share with them what the NFF will look like if he becomes president.

He said “The Supporters’ club should not struggle to get clearance to travel for tournaments, they play an integral part of football and we intend to make their duty easy for them to carry out”

“You shouldn’t struggle to get on board to support the Nigerian National team, after my declaration, a couple of others have also declared their interest which means the change has started”.

“I have a blueprint that is meant to transform Nigerian football and it will be all inclusive”

National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi appreciated the CAF official for finding it worthy to share his ideas with the supporters club, and appreciated him for reckoning with them, he also saluted him for realizing how valuable the supporters club is in development of Nigerian football
