A case between Barrister Gloria Mabeiam Ballason and Kaduna state Governor, Malam Nasiru el-Rufai, is scheduled for judgment today at the Kaduna state High Court 9, Bida Road Kaduna.
The case, before Justice Esther Lolo of the Kaduna state High Court, was earlier slated for judgment last Thursday, but the case was for judgment today.
Gloria Ballason had filed a suit El-Rufai through her Lagos based lawyers, Matthew Burkaa & Co for the enforcement of her fundamental human rights.
The lawyer sued the governor, who had threatened to arrest and prosecute her for her civil rights activities including an article which was published in the Blueprint Newspaper of 28th November, 2016.
The governor had announced the plan to arrest her when the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA)’s President A. B. Mahmud (SAN) and his team visited Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House.
Barrister Gloria Ballason is the Chief Executive Officer of House of Justice, Principal Partner of MIVE Legals, a radio host and a law columnist with the Blueprint Newspaper. The lawyer has also been active in civil rights matters in the country and the region.
