An Islamic cleric, Dr. Semiyu Ola Golden, has said that there is a need for Muslims all over the world to take daily doses of Islamic opium which is useful and effective for healthy living even in times of hardship.
He stated this in his paper presentation during a seminar organised by the Association of Muslim Intellectuals of Nigeria (AMIN,) with the theme: Safeguarding our mental health during this economic hardship, held in Kaduna, Monday.
Dr. Ola Golden, who is also the CEO and MD of Comforter Clinic and Diagnostic Centre Abuja, said that Islamic opium is a combination of the teachings and instructions of Allah to his children to enable them to survive difficult times.
He said difficult times are bound to come to everyone and will surely pass but those who forget the teachings of Prophet Muhammad will also lose their integrity and dignity along with it.
Speaking about the economic challenge suffered in the country, he advised traders and other businessmen and women not to use the period of Ramadan to exploit others by inflating the price of goods and services.
