Reps aspirant targets ‘first 10’ for constituents in WAEC/GCE

An aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress for Remu/ Sagamu federal constituency of Ogun state, Mrs Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji has said her target is to make the students of her constituency the first top 10 in the WAEC/GCE in the next four years.
The aspirant, who is an international information technology (IT) consultant, said Remu/Sagamu constituency is the reason Ogun is called the gateway state and therefore deserves a better representation.
Speaking to journalists at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, Elegbeji said that she left her well paid job in UK because of her love to develop her people.
According to her, coming from a background of parents who had contributed in community development, she had no option than to seek for the development of her people at the House of Representatives.
She said she had aspired for the position in 2015 but stepped down, as it was not the turn of her area to represent the constituency.
Speaking on her background, she said “My father was a politician in the days of the AD, ACN, and APC, and passed away few years ago.
He was vice chairman of Sagamu LGA and my mother was also much involved in community works and was chair person of our community development association.
“I graduated from Ogun State University as one of the pioneer students then.
My first degree was in Geology, and I worked for a while as a petrol physicist with the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation in the Lagos processing center.
I decided to study computing, so I went abroad and did masters in computing,” she said.
She said she would focus on poverty alleviation, health and education.
