Recession won’t stop devt in Rivers – Wike

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has said that the present economic recession in the country will not arrest development  in the state because the state is special in God’s agenda.
Speaking at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt  during the “Connected in Rivers ” Special Crusade of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry hosted by Pastor William Kumuyi,  Wike said: “I know we have a problem  in the country. But I can tell you that Rivers state will not see that problem.  This state is a special state for God.”
He said since the first crusade held by Pastor William  Kumuyi,  the security situation in the state has continued  to  improve  in line with the  cleric’s  declaration.

“Let me tell our father in the Lord, since your last crusade, many things have improved  in the state.  As governor, I have first hand information on these improvements “, he said.
The governor said that with continued prayers, Rivers state  will permanently  develop  for the good of the people.
“We require the prayers of our spiritual fathers like Pastor William Kumuyi.  With prayers , Rivers state will continue  to  see peace and  development “, he said.
He thanked  the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Ministry for making  the  programme  a monthly  affair.
Kumuyi proclaimed  that God’s grace and blessing were resting on Rivers state, saying that the October programme “will make Rivers the state of the People’s dreams and desires.
“There will be  peace in the state . There  be security and prosperity in the state ”
Over 70000 Christians attended the crusade.
