PTD lauds Buhari over ministerial composition

Petroleum Tanker Drivers, (PTD) branch of NUPENG has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari on the composition of his cabinet.
Giving the commendation in a press release issued by the media relations officer of the union, Abdulkadir Garba, the national chairman of the union, Comrade Salimon Oladiti, said the president was right on the persons he put in charge of fixing the nation’s  roads and the transport sector of the economy.
The national chairman explained that in as much as all the ministers were very important in the overall growth and development of the country he expressed confidence in the team’s ability in championing the cause of the change mantra of the government.

According to him, the union is much concerned about the appalling state of the nation’s highways as well as transportation as it affects operations in the downstream sector of the economy.
Oladiti, therefore, called on government to look into the deplorable states of the highways.
He particularly identified Port Harcourt–Eleme, Ilorin – Jebba – Oloru and Umuahia, among several other roads in the South-east.
He further explained that apart from Benin–Ore road virtually all the roads were in a deplorable state.
The national chairman also expressed optimism that as the government sets to commence work in the weeks ahead; many of these projects as well as the ongoing sanitisation and stability in the petroleum and energy sector at large would be intensified and improved upon.
