The FCT Police at Life Camp Division has said it had foiled armed robbery attempts on a Samsung shop in Jabi.
Its spokesman and Assistant Superintendent Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, who confirmed this to Blueprint, said there was a distress call from neighbours and the vigilante that a group of robbers had broken into a Samsung shop located at Alex Ekweme Way in Jabi, carted away some valuables and cash.
It was learnt that as the robbers sighted the police operatives on their patrol vehicle, numbering more than them, they abandoned the stolen items in the car the robbers brought along and fled into a near-by bush.
Items recovered included 18 new brand Samsung galaxy phones, seven TV sets of different brands, amongst others.
Meanwhile, the Gwagwalada Division of the FCT police has arrested one Bala Ibrahim and Garba Mohammed both of Tsauni Village, Gwagwalada, in connection with cattle rustling.
The suspects are helping the police to track down other suspects as well as recover their weapons.
In another development, Galadimawa Police Station has rescued one Bayo Akinsikpe and Samuel Chukwu who were almost lynched by a mob at Galadimawa Roundabout for attempting to snatch a Mazda Car from its owner.
The suspects are now under Police interrogation, Blueprint gathered.
