Detectives from the Nigerian Police have arrested three suspects in connection to the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in the Amukoko area of Lagos state.
According to the spokesperson of the Lagos state Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Monday, the incident happened on April 27, 2025, at approximately 9:00 pm.
The survivor reported that earlier that evening, around 8:00pm, one Kalid invited her from Orile to the Yusuf Esan area of Amukoko. Upon arrival, she alleges that Kalid and seven others forcibly raped her.
“Following the report, police detectives immediately mobilized to the scene. Their swift action led to the arrest of three suspects: Awali Alabi, 20 years old, Saliu Anafi,18 years and Basit Nurudeen,16 years old respectively.
The remaining suspects fled the scene and are currently being hunted by the Nigerian Police.
CSP Benjamin noted that the survivor has been taken to the General Hospital in Suru-Alaba, Amukoko, for necessary medical examination and treatment.
