Executive secretary of the Nasarawa state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, was yesterday conferred with the traditional title of Sadaukin Lafia by the Lafia Emirate Council.
Performing the crowning ceremony as the first Sadaukin Lafia, the Emir of Lafia and chairman, Nasarawa state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai 1, charged him to use his wealth of experience to move the Council forward.
He further charged him to contribute positively to the development of Lafia local government area in particular and the state at large.

While appreciating the gesture, shortly after the coronation at the emir’s Guest House, Lafia, the new Sadauki of Lafia thanked the emir for finding him worthy and capable of serving the emirate council, and promised not to fail the emir and the entire emirate council.
“I wish to restate my personal loyalty and commitment to Lafia Emirate Council and the Emir of Lafia, in particular; I will neither fail the emir nor the emirate council and I shall do everything within my strength to uplift the emirate council to the next level,” he said.
Nalaraba further explained that the honour bestowed on him was a remarkable and prestigious one, and, therefore, vowed to discharge any assignments given to him by the council that would benefit the generality of people of the emirate and the state at large effectively.
He appealed to the indigenes to continue to live in peace, love and harmony with one another for the overall development of the state.
