The chairman/Sole Administrator of Pacesetter Transport Services, Dr Ibrahim Oladeji Dikko, Tuesday said the Oyo state government has received 30 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses from the federal government.
He stated this Tuesday while briefing newsmen at the Governor’s Office Briefing Room in Ibadan on the activities of the Pacesetter Transport Service.
He said the 30 CNG buses from the federal government have since been deployed to inter-state routes, with Ibadan to Abuja operations launched earlier in 2025.
The chairman/sole administrator noted that PTS would launch the Lagos to Abuja operations in a few days, while the Ibadan to Kwara operations will follow in a few weeks, with operations to other South western states to be announced later in the year.
Dr Dikko added that PTS is ready to launch a CNG conversion centre as well as Taxi Transport Services for easy movement of travelers within and outside the Ibadan International Airport after the upgrade, as well as to and fro the train station, among others.
Speaking further, he said Oyo state government has committed N2.1billion to subsidise transportation for the people of the state under the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) and that the N2.1 billion was spent between August 5th, 2023, when Governor ‘Seyi Makinde announced SAfER, till date.
