Osinbajo opens APBN summit July 26

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has been penciled to declare open the 6th annual summit of Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) scheduled for Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th July, 2017 at NAF Conference Centre & Suites, Kado Abuja. A statement by APBN Publicity Secretary, Lanre Olusola, described the association as an umbrella body of recognised professional institutes, institutionsand promoting a new era of cooperation among professionals in the country. “It is the veritable platform designed for member-bodies to speak with one voice while at the same time giving professional and proper technical advice to government on matters aff ecting the professionals and their practices”, the statement added.

APBN summit of professional, Olusola stated, began in 2010 with an annual fl agship programme with international repute, adding that this year’s event would “focus on the third leg of federal government administration drive on security. “It will, therefore, bring together stakeholders in various sectors of the society with a view to addressing the multi faceted issues on peace and security. Former Military Governor of Bauchi state, a former Commandant of National War College and one time Force Commander of the United Nations Forces in Angola, General Chris A Garuba (retd), will deliver the keynote speech, while APBN President, Dr. Omede Idris, will be the Chief Host. The 2017 APBN Summit of Professionals has as its theme: “Peace and Security for Sustainable National Development: A Multi Professional Approach”, with many sub-themes. Members of the National Assembly, Security Agencies, Government, Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) and other stakeholders are expected at the summit, which would also feature exhibitions from within and outside the country
