National Coordinator, PDP Alive Network, Alhaji Isah Abdullahi Dazino, has said that the fortune of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could only be revive with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff at the helm of affairs as its national chairman
Speaking to newsmen in Kano yesterday, Dazino said the parallel convention was only orchestrated to give undue relevance to those who had abandoned the party during its hours of travail, adding that the former Borno state governor had the courage and charisma to propel the party to greater heights.
According to him, the just concluded PDP convention which saw the emergence of Sheriff as its national chairman was a testimony to the fact that many of the party top shots had an unfettered confidence in his ability to deliver.
He said the time had come for members of the party to comprehend the simple fact that with the myriad of woes and catalogue of failures rocking the APC as the ruling party, it would be easy for the PDP to embark on confidence building measures ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Dazino, however, said those behind the parallel Convention were the real enemies of the party since they had contributed nothing to make it a force to be reckoned with after losing power during the 2015 Presidential elections, stressing that they were only making flippant noise to shield their failures.
He expressed confidence that with Sheriff, the APC big shots beating their chests would have sleepless nights grappling with the party as a formidable bastion of opposition, pointing out that with a lame-duck leader at the helm of affairs the party would go nowhere.
