Ogun: NDE trains 30 environpreneurship graduates in basic business management

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Ogun state has trained 30 graduates in environpreneurship development scheme in order to equip them with business managerial skills for self reliance.

Speaking at the flag off of the four-day basic business training, the director general, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, stated that despite all the potentials of the informal sector operators, the actualisation of their full impact can only become impactful when their businesses are successful.

Represented by the Ogun state coordinator, Alao Babatunde, the DG said the business can achieve successes if they are able to manage the technical and management aspects of their businesses, thus the training.

“30 graduates of tertiary institutions who have undergone training in Environprenurship Development Scheme programme were selected for the Basic Business Training in order to equip them with business management skills.

“Most of developed nations of the world did not achieve economic prosperity because of the large corporations that existed but the encouragement of small businesses in the informal sector that provide employment for the majority of their populace.

“It is for this reason that NDE encourages the establishment of small businesses which have the potential to end up as big entities depending on the commitment of the business owners,” he added.
