The Coordinator, National Youth Social Corps (NYSC), in Anambra state, Mr Kehinde Aremu, has urged corps members to avoid travelling outside the state without cogent reason.
Adamu, who disclosed this while addressing corps members at the orientation camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, posited that unnecessary travelling could predispose them to health hazards and other challenges.
According to him, Anambra remains the safest and most peaceful State in the nation with greater opportunities to those who stay back to serve diligently.
He further maintained that governor Willie Obiano had directed law enforcement agents and the local vigilante all over the 21 local government areas of Anambra state to provide surveillance and security patrol of all corps lodges.
The coordinator, while speaking to the corps members on digital skills sensitization programme held also in the camp, enjoined youth to utilise the opportunities abound in the cyber wave for wealth creation.
He said it was worrisome that some youth were underutilising the internet, while some use it for fraudulent purposes, whereas it has numerous benefits to those accessing it genuinely.
