NSCDC warns against diversion of petroleum products

In its effort to stop diversion of petroleum products to the black market, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa state Command, has arrested a tanker loaded up with fuel at Fanisau on Kano Road.
The commandant, Muhammed Gidado Fari, said in a press release that investigation “is ongoing after which the culprit will be arraigned in court.”

Similarly, he summoned marketers of petroleum products to his office where they discussed about the ways of arresting the fuel scarcity problem in the state.
He added that the discussions also touched on the best way to stop diversion, hoarding and black-marketing, as well as ensuring that they sell the products according to government’s approved pump price throughout the state.

He warned that the Command would not allow the share of Jigawa state products to be diverted to other places, stressing that anyone found wanting would be dealt with according to the law of the land.
