Oyo: NSCDC ready to curb pipeline vandalism right of ways – Commandant

Oyo state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya, has said there is no going back in the command’s determination in curbing vandalism of pipeline right of ways.

Alhaji Akinsanya stated this in Ibadan while receiving the new Executive of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), during  a courtesy visit to the NSCDC Oyo state Command on Wednesday.

He said the safety of lives and property, especially curbing vandalism in pipeline right of ways top the priority of the NSCDC, and the Oyo state command shall not relent in its  efforts at discharging it accordingly.

Alhaji Akinsanya then called on IPMAN leaders and their members to at all times cooperate with the NSCDC in  ensuring safety of lives and  properties as well as curbing vandalism in pipeline  right of ways in and across their areas and the country in general.

Alhaji Akinsanya also stressed the need for the new IPMAN executives to orientate their members in order to put an end to diversion of PMS as whoever caught will face the wrath of the Law.

The new IPMAN Chairman in Oyo state Alhaji Mutiu Bukola commended Oyo state NSCDC command for its efforts and support towards adequate monitoring of the Right of Ways.

The new IPMAN Chairman solicited for more support from the NSCDC especially now that the federal government had deregulated the oil sector, calling for partnership to enable his administration enjoy the existing cordial relationship with NSCDC.
