NNL 2023/24 season kicks off October 28 with 4 groups

The 2023/24 Nigeria National League, NNL Season has been slated to commence on October 28th across the country.

This decision was made by the NNL board led by veteran journalist George Aluo, at the Annual General Assembly of the board on Friday in Jos, Plateau state.

A total of 40 participating teams have been divided into four different groups in the Northern and Southern Conference.

Up to 21 teams are set to slug it out in the Southern Conference while 19 teams will compete in the Northern Conference.

The top two teams from each conference will compete for the NPFL tickets in a Super 8 tournament while the bottom three clubs from each conference will be relegated.

In a new development, there will be prize money of N5million for the League champions this season from the league organizers while all the 8 clubs in the Super 8 will also receive grants.

The AGA had in attendance the board members of the NNL, top NFF executives, and all the representatives of the 40 participating teams.
