Nnadozie, Madugu get historic Ballon d’Or nomination

Super Falcons goalkeeper,r Chiamaka Nnadozie is among the four goalkeepers nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy.

The Other nominees for the Yachine Trophy include Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Cata Coll (Barcelona Femeni), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea Women), and Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal Women).

Nnadozie, helped her former club Paris FC win the Coupe de France Feminine in May, making a crucial save in the 5-4 penalty win over local rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

It was Paris FC’s first major silverware in nearly two decades.The 24-year-old also played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.


The Brighton star, who was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament kept four clean sheets in six matches.

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has been nominated for the Women’s Team Coach of the Year.

Madugu was recognised for guiding the Super Falcons to the title at the WAFCON 2024 finals.
