Nig Info stages service of songs in honour of Abuja journalist, Debbie

The Nigeria Info 95.1 FM, Abuja family, will on Friday, hold a service of songs in honour of radio presenter and On Air Personality (OAP), Debora Ohamara, also known as Debbie.

The presenter with the radio station was killed in a ghastly motor accident along the Abuja Airport Road on Monday.

According to announcement by the Nigeria Info the “Service of songs and night of tribute in memory of Debora Ohamara, a member of the Nigeria Info FM Abuja family, will be held on Friday, January 19, 2023, by 4:00 pm.

“The venue of the service of songs is Cool Wazobia Info Office, after Elizade, opposite the American Embassy on the way to the National Hospital, Abuja.

“Nigeria Info will forever be thankful to the late Debbie for her work ethic and the values she brought to her work. Her family will announce her funeral arrangements,” organisers of the tribute said.

Earlier, while confirming Ohamara’s death the station wrote, “We sadly announce the passing of Deborah Ohamara (Debbie) a brilliant and loved broadcaster with Nigeria Info Abuja.

“Ohamara, who was a staff of Nigeria Info 95.1 FM Abuja, was driving from the airport axis when a vehicle hit her car from behind and she rammed into the moving truck.”

Blueprint reports that the incident, which happened by 3pm on Monday, caused traffic gridlock on the expressway.

Ohamara, popularly described as the golden voice of Nigeria Info, hailed from Cross River state.
