National Lottery Trust Fund emerges 2nd best accountability compliant agency

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF)has emerged as the 2021 Second Best accountability compliant organisation in the federal government agencies’ Anti Corruption and Transparency Units (ACTU) 2021. It is also the fourth compliant  among the Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in efficiency and transparency in the work place.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of NLTF, Dr. Bello Maigari, in a press statement made available to journalists signed by the agency’s head of media and publicity unit, Mallam Muhammad Awwal Adam.

He further explained that the federal government has also commended the agency for its unprecedented interventions in sports development, which saw the distribution of  sports equipment worth over N574m to over 2000 schools across the country.

It said, “In less than three years of the constitution of the agency’s anti corruption and transparency unit, the agency scored 84.45 % to emerge the second best compliant in agency category in Nigeria and the fourth best compliant MDA with systems and processes put in place to  promote efficiency and transparency in work place.

“The federal government has also commended the National Lottery Trust Fund for its numerous interventions and achievements. This commendation by the federal government followed the giant interventions so far made by the agency in promoting national sports, which also led to procurement and distribution of over N574m worth of sports equipment to over 2000 schools across the country.”

Maigari further attributed the successes recorded by the agency so far to resilience and unwavering commitment and dedication of the agency’s staff and urged them not to relent but redouble their efforts  for more achievements and successes, assuring them of their welfare and conducive working environment.
