Nasarawa Assembly screens commissioner-nominees Oct 26

Speaker, Nasarawa state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has said that the House would begin to screen commissioner-nominees on October 26, this year.
He disclosed this yesterday at the floor of the House in Lafia while announcing the names of the nominees.
The speaker, who asked the affected persons to, as a matter of urgency, submit copies of their curriculum vitae (CV) to the House Leader before the dateline.
He said: “Every commissioner nominee should as much as possible comply with the provision of the 1999 constitution as amended, and any other laws of the state for the general public, any one that has any complain on any nominee should forward it to ethnic and petition committee of this Honourable House.”

The nominees included Yusuf Shehu from Lafia local government area, Dr Domnic Bako the immediate past Head of Civil Service from Nasarawa Eggon, Sony Agasy ,the immediate past commissioner for land from Obi Local Government, and Eunice Kigbu also the immediate past commissioner for women affairs from Lafia North Development area.
Others are Ramatu Ajuji from Wamba local government, Dr Daniel Iya from Karu, Ishaka Galadima, a retired permanent secretary and zonal chairman, APC, Nasarawa south from Awe local government, Dr Othman Ibrahim from Toto local government and Aliyu Yusuf Lawi from Akwanga local government area.

Also, on the list are Mustapha Yahaya Idris from Doma local government, Aliyu Ahmed Tijani, the incumbent chairman Nasarawa local government area from Nasarawa local government, Godwin Makeri from Kokona local government, in the 16 nominees also included Barrister Gebriel Akaka from Obi local government, Engr. Mohammed Idris from keffi local government, Barrister Jim Yiya from Farin Ruwa development area and Haruna Iliya Osegwa from Keana local government.
