Monarch praises Ambode’s intervention in chieftaincy tussle

  Pledges support to Blueprint

The Baale of Agidingbi community area of Ikeja in Lagos, Chief Ganiyu Ayinde Aruna, has praised the timely intervention of Governor Akinwumi Ambode in the chieftaincy tussle which would have plunged the community into a needless crisis.
Chief Aruna made this known during the courtesy visit of Blueprint Newspaper team, Lagos office, and presentation of a copy of the paper (Blueprint) to him in his Agidingbi Palace as the leader of the host community.
The traditional leader, who believed the timely intervention of the Lagos state governor, saved the community from the likely crises that would have brew out from the two contending families interested in the Baale position also praised Barrister Femi Okunun for the role he played in preventing the impending crisis.
He used the opportunity to enumerate some of the challenges confronting the community such as lack of health facility or health centre in the whole of the community, security problem, poor drainage system that causes perennial flooding in the area, access to market among other problems.

The Baale, who is barely four months on the throne recounted his efforts at ensuring there was development in Agidingbi community, said he had visited the DPOs of all the nearby police divisions to register the community’s readiness to cooperate with the police in ensuring maximum security in the community.
According to him, he had equally visited the local government authority to intimate them on the challenges facing the community and discussed how the government can partner with the community in finding lasting solutions to them, while appreciating Real pharmaceutical company for its support to the community in the area of health.
He, however, expressed readiness to give all necessary supports to Blueprint and urged the management to do more in terms of circulation for the paper to gain more prominence and recognition in Lagos.
