Letter to Betta Edu

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I write with a deep sense of concern and a sincere desire for transparency and accountability regarding a recent decision made under your esteemed leadership as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. Specifically, I wish to address the matter of temporarily withholding the payment of N-Power beneficiaries.

This decision, Dr. Edu, has stirred a significant level of anxiety, confusion, and apprehension among the beneficiaries of the N-Power program, who heavily rely on these payments for their livelihoods.

As a responsible and accountable government official overseeing matters of great importance to the welfare of the Nigerian populace, it is of utmost importance that you take note of these concerns and promptly address them.

The N-Power program has been a lifeline for countless Nigerian youths, playing a pivotal role in alleviating poverty and empowering them with valuable skills and resources.

The program is not just a government initiative; it is a symbol of hope and progress for many individuals and their families who have struggled for years to make ends meet.

It is with this understanding that I stress the critical nature of ensuring that these beneficiaries receive their stipends on time. These stipends are not mere financial transactions; they are the means by which these individuals sustain themselves and their families. Any delay in these payments will create uncertainty and financial distress over their lives.

As concerned citizens and advocates for the well-being of our fellow Nigerians, we earnestly urge you to reconsider the decision to temporarily withhold these payments.

We recognise that government’s decisions are often made with a long-term vision, but it is equally important to consider the immediate impact on the lives of those affected.

Moreover, we respectfully request that you communicate the rationale behind this decision to the beneficiaries and the wider public.

Transparency and open communication are fundamental pillars of any successful government initiative, and they are essential in building and maintaining the trust of the people.

Dr. Edu, we believe in your commitment to serve the best interests of our nation and its citizens. We trust that you will take these concerns seriously and act in a manner that upholds the principles of justice, fairness, and compassion upon which our great nation was founded.

In conclusion, we look forward to a positive resolution of this matter, one that reflects the government’s dedication to the well-being of its people. Your swift response and action on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
