Lead Securities to attract more retail investors

Lead Securities & Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Lead Capital Plc has  developed  new Lead Trader portal in such a way that the platform would attract the participation of retail investors that exited the market during the financial  meltdown.
The company also provide a secure and efficient electronic channel of buying and selling stocks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), in a transparent manner which gives investors full control over their mandates.

The group managing director, Lead Capital Plc, Wale Adewumi who disclosed this at  press briefing in Lagos said that the new trading platform,  was designed to conform with global best solutions for on-line, real –time trading of securities utilized by retail and institutional investors in the advanced economies.
He explained that ATM cards used to execute transactions in the platform are configured to militate against money laundering and other fraudulent practices.

He however said that the company has adopted the ‘straight-through process’, which enables the entire processes of trading and payment to be executed electronically, without the need for re-keying or manual intervention, which, according to him, is in line with the Nigerian Stock Exchange’s directive. Adewumi further said that it provides investors the convenience of executing their trades on-line through a range of devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and other mobile devices.
