The member representing Jos North-North constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Adamu Aliyu, has sympathised wth the victims of the recent fire incident that engulfed part of Jos main market.
Hon Aliyu said the state government should see the urgent need to support the victims bounce back to businesses.
He said in a brief chat with newsmen that the people considering the hash economic situation, deserves to be deliberately paid attention to.
“A lot of wealth has been lost, I learnt that about a billion of naira worth of properties were lost, a s this people need t get government intervention.
“As I sympathise wth the people, praying Allah to replace what they have lost, I also urge the Plateau State Government to direct the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), to within time consider supporting them.
“I also call on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), as well as the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, to intervene to provide the immediate needed support to the victims,” he pleaded.
Hon Aliyu commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang, for his prompt directives that led to the mobilisation of fire service vehicles that helped put off the fire.
