Lalong, Tyedon, others receive certificates of return

Plateau state Governor elect, Simon Bako Lalong, has solicited for the co-operation of the citizens of the state for the next four years.

The Governor stated this in his speech while receiving his certificate of return on Friday at the INEC Collation center in Jos, saying the electorates have once again reposed greater confidence in them.

He said: “I equally solicited your usual cooperation and partnership as we strive to serve with all humility in moving to the next level.”

“Moving to the Next Level in the light of re-jigging the governance system by providing vision, direction and accountability in leadership for greater productivity,” he added.

“To achieve these ideals, we shall continue to strengthen both institutional and legal framework; just as we will reward loyalty, excellence and hard work in the public and private sectors,” he stated.

Similarly, 23 of the 24 House of Assembly members-elect have received their certificates of returned, into the 9th Assembly.

Blueprint reports that one member-elect, for the Pengana State Constituency, late Hon. Ezekiel Bauda Afon, died after he was declared winner of the election.
