KGAF buys JAMB forms for 320 indigent Kebbi students

Kauran Gwandu Advocacy Forum (KGAF) has flagged off the distribution of 320 JAMB forms to the less privileged students in Kebbi state.

The flag-off ceremony which took place Thursday in Birnin Kebbi was aimed at supporting orphans and children of the less privileged.

Speaking at the event, the National President of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Nasir Idris said the programme was designed for the children who could not afford to further their education.

Comrade Idris, who was represented by the member representing Suru local government area at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Altain Dan Fare, commended the efforts of the foundation for the initiative, urging others to support the forum in order to complement the government efforts in promoting education sector in the state.

Also, Chairman 4+4 Buhari and Bagudu campaign organisations, Alhaji Kabir Gaya, applauded the founder of the organisation for giving the less privileged opportunities to acquire knowledge and promote unity in the state.

He stated that the programme would also promote the girl-child education as well as bring sanity to the education system.

“We are in full support of thisas a lot of achievements have been recorded under this forum. The founder of this programme has empowered thousands of women and youth across the state,” he said.

In a remark, Chairman Kauran Gwandu Advocacy Forum, Mansir Sarki Gwandu, expressed satisfaction with the gesture.

Speaking to journalists, one of the beneficiaries, Yusuf Alhassan Wara, thanked the forum for supporting him, adding that he was supposed to be in the university but hampered by sponsorship challenge.
