Keffi Old Boys set to reinvigorate quality education, discipline in college – Official

Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA) has said it is poised to reinvigorate quality education, discipline and moral values in the college.

National chairman of KOBA set ’83,’ Prof. Maikano Muhammad Ari, made the statement at the 40th anniversary of the set held in Jos.

He said members of KOBA of all sets should be able to raise funds towards improving the contents of knowledge, besides putting good infrastructure in the college.

“No amount of chairs, no amount of infrastructure that we will make the difference. We must also invest in some critical activities that will drive learning, that will bring back out culture, that will instill discipline, that will make those coming from behind to be so celebrated as we have been,” he said.

In his presentation tagged: “preparing for retirement,” the national secretary of KOBA, Mr Sam Israel, said it is important for members of the association, to venture in to trades and service provider before and after retirement.

“Gentlemen, when you wait until they push you to retire, it can be suicidal.

“The small income the retirees get from their pensions are affected by the economic situations that brings unexpected prevailing prices of goods and services.

“If you fail to plan, you prepare to fail! One of the best ways to prepare for your retirement is to have a retirement plan. The plan should cover every aspect of your life after retirement down to your basic amenities,” he said.
