Kano governor commissions remodelled wing of specialist hospital  

In his efforts towards improving the services of the state-owned health facilities, Kano state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Monday, commissioned the remodelled and  equipped accident and emergency section of the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital (MMSH), Kano.

Speaking during the commissioning of the facility, Governor Abba Kabir, who was visibly elated, said the remodelling of the oldest hospital in the state became necessary given its dilapidated condition.

A press statement issued by the press secretary to the state governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa quoted Alhaji Abba Kabir as appreciating the work done, especially in giving the section a facelift for enhanced medical care to patients with emergency cases.

He commended the officials of the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders who contributed in making the project a reality.

Hundreds of thousands of Kano residents thronged the itinerary of the governor’s convoy from the IBB Way through Kantin Kwari Market to Murtala Muhammad Hospital, the venue of the event, chanting slogans of solidarity in support of Governor Abba  Kabir Yusuf’s government.
