Jigawa justice ministry receives 50 laptops from NITDA

Jigawa state Ministry of Justice has received the donation of 50 laptop computers from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

 The state Commissioner of Justice, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, who

received the computers on behalf of the state governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, said the digitalisation of the justice sector is very vital to make the sector more efficient and less expensive.

He said: “The use of information technology will be embraced in

running the affairs of the state Ministry of Justice to further make

our services easy and faster.”

The commissioner, who was represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Hauwa Zakar, expressed appreciation to the director-general of NITDA, Kashif Inuwa Abdullahi, for the kind gesture.

 Presenting the laptops to the ministry, the representative

of the DG NITDA, Mr. Emmanuel said the agency is always ready to assist in incorporating the justice institution, to the world of information technology.

 Also speaking at the occasion, the public relations officer of the ministry, Miss Zainab Baba Santali, stated that NITDA had established and equipped an ICT centre for the NBA, Dutse Branch, and shed more light on the importance of ICT to the ministry.
