Jigawa state Commissioner of Works, Engineer Aminu Usman, said Thursday that Jigawa state government has concluded plans for the construction of more road network, rural electrification projects and street lightening.
The commissioner said the projects are going to be constructed across the length and breadth of Jigawa state adding that the projects are going to benefit all and sundry, irrespective of political or party affiliation.
The commissioner said all the projects were approved by the state executive council meeting headed by Governor Badaru Abubakar. He said the contract was awarded to Alrene Construction Company at the cost of N5bn, adding that the 63 km long road is from Gwaram to Bashirka.
He stated that the 2.5 eastern bye pass will be reconstructed at the cost of N5.9 million, Ringim township road, N9.5 million, while a new solar power project was awarded to Alrayyan Construction Company at the cost of N130 million.
He said the township solar power in Chaichai could generate 65 units and it was awarded to Samdam Naggogo Construction Firm at the cost of N8.3 to be completed in three months.
