The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch its 3rd report on Global Estimates on International Migrant Workers: Results and Methodology, today, Wednesday 30 June 2021.
The report focuses on the evolution of global labour migration. It gives a detailed picture of how international migrant workers, who constitute nearly 5 per cent of the global labour force, are an integral part of the world economy.
It also includes regional estimates for Africa, the Americas, Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and Central Asia.
The report and all associated materials will be available on Wednesday 30 June at 13:00 CEST (11:00 GMT).
The findings will be presented by Manuela Tomei, Director of the ILO Conditions of Work and Equality Department, and Rafael Diez de Medina, Chief Statistician and Director of the ILO Department of Statistics.
