Igboho now a free man in Germany – Lead counsel

The Lead counsel for the Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Ighoho, Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN), Monday, stated that the Yoruba nation agitator is now a free man in Germany.

Speaking with the Blueprint in Ibadan concerning a viral video that claimed Chief Igboho has regained his freedom and he is set to return to Nigeria, Chief Alliyu said it is true that his client has regained his freedom.

Chief Alliyu added that Chief Ighoho has been released from protective custody in Benin Republic and he is now in Germany.

“Yes, he has been released. He was released yesterday. He is now in Germany. He is in Germany and he is now a free person, that is all I know,” he said.

The lead counsel added, “The former AGF hates the guts of Yoruba and that is why he kept Igboho in Cotonou. But because the current AGF is a Yoruba man and he knows the law, he has to do the right thing by releasing him.”
