Two physically challenged persons studying in Government Day Secondary School in Katsina have appealed to the management of AGILE to grant them scholarship.
The twosome; Salmanu Aliyu, 17, and Halimatu Aliyu 15, are in JSS two and badly needed the assistance of AGILE to actualise their dreams.
Salmanu spoke to newsmen on behalf of the two of them on Sunday in their family house in Katsina.
He said they needed the scholarship to enable them to complete their secondary education, stressing: “We are so tiny that every day our father has to take us to school on his motor bike.
“Sometimes when our father is not around, our friends use to carry us on their back to enable us come back home.”
Salmanu said their mother had been encouraging them to seek education so that they can achieve their separate dreams.
He noted that, they are capable of achieving their goals if given the scholarship opportunity, as they have passed their promotional exams to JSS two.
He disclosed that it has been his ambition to become a medical doctor to serve humanity.
According to him, his sister wants to become a nurse to enable her provide free medical services to women and children.
